Open House for 2026-27

2026-27 Open House is Friday, August 7, 2026 from 5:00 to 6:30 pm. Parents and children enrolled in the 2026-27 program are welcome to attend and meet some of our Early Learning staff, visit your child's room, and drop off any supplies you might have. The first day for childcare begins Tuesday, August 11 for 12 weeks old through Pre-k. Developmental preschool begins Monday, August 17, 2026.

The Early Learning Center offers childcare for infants starting at 12 weeks old through 4 years old. Our classrooms are based the child's age as of August 1 and the developmental milestones achieved. The infant classroom is for children 12 weeks old to 1 year old and the toddler classrooms providing childcare for Westfield Washington School employees. Starting with the preschool classrooms for 3 years old we provide childcare for families living in the Westfield community and Westfield Washington School employees. Enrollment is limited with priority placement with currently enrolled families first and remaining openings filled by lottery selection.

How to Enroll

open enrollment begins January 8, 2026 at 6:00 AM through February 5, 2026 at 11:59 PM

New families may submit your child's 2026-27 online enrollment starting January 8, 2026 at 6:00AM and closes on February 5, 2026 at 11:59 PM. Click here to download the EZ ChildTrack Online Enrollment instructions. We will fill by currently enrolled families first, then by lottery selection for new family enrollments. All families will be notified by the end of February with enrollment status for the 2026-27 program.

During the online enrollment, you will be required to pay a non-refundable $175 registration fee when submitting your child's enrollment. After the lottery placement, those families who were placed in the 2026-27 program will receive additional information they will be required to complete.

Limited Enrollment

Priority placement is given to returning families and full time school year plans.
Infant and Toddler enrollment is only open to children of WWS employees.
All Aboard Pre-K enrollment is open to children of WWS employees and to families who live in the Westfield Washington School District

About the Early Learning Center

The Virginia F. Wood Early Learning Center is a beautiful facility designed especially for our little ones provides childcare and learning experiences starting at 12 weeks old. We provide a nurturing and loving environment where children are given the opportunity to grow and thrive. Our goal is to give them the foundational building blocks to learn to communicate with people around them and to take their first steps in navigating in their own world.

Important Documents

School Delays and Cancellation Information

School Delays and/or Early Dismissals
TOTS and All Aboard will be open from 7:15 AM to 5:30 PM on two-hour delay days. All Aboard Readiness students may attend from 8:00 AM to 1:30 PM if the two hour delay is on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, or Thursdays.

If a two hour delay changes to a cancellation before 7:00 AM, we will follow TOTS and All Aboard closure procedures listed below.
If a two hour delay changes to a cancellation after 7:00 AM, Preschool and All Aboard will be open from 7:15 AM to 5:30 PM and infants and toddlers will only be open from 7:15 AM to 11:00 AM.

TOTS and All Aboard eLearning Day Closures

When school is closed due to inclement weather or for circumstances beyond the school district’s control, care is available from 7:15 AM to 5:30 PM for full time TOTS preschool and full time All Aboard families only. These children will attend at the Virginia F. Wood Early Learning Center. Care is not available for Infants, Toddlers, and the All Aboard Readiness families.

School Cancellation Days that are NOT eLearning Days

Only TOTS Preschool and All Aboard Pre-k will be open from 7:15 AM to 5:30 PM. These classrooms will attend at the Virginia F. Wood Early Learning Center.

Food Plans For both eLearning School Closure Days and School Closure Days that are NOT eLearning Days

The cafeteria at the Early Learning Center will be open for the children. A prepackaged breakfast, lunch, and an afternoon snack will be provided. These days are included in your regular fees.

Closings

Westfield Washington Schools closings will be announced on local television, radio stations and through phone/text messages from the school district. The decision whether or not we close on a Hamilton County Travel Watch will be made on a case by case basis. All program sites will be closed in the event of a Hamilton County Travel Warning or if conditions are unsafe for families and staff or for circumstances beyond the school district’s control.

As is the case in any child care, we do not provide credit or refunds for days not attended whether this day is by parent choice, due to conditions which make attendance unsafe, or for circumstances beyond the school district’s control.

IMPORTANT

If Hamilton County issues a Travel Warning or if conditions are unsafe for families and staff or for circumstances beyond the school district’s control, parents will be notified that we are closing and children will need to be picked up as soon as safely possible.

Staff Development Days and Parent/Teacher Conference Days

The TOTS classrooms will meet as regularly scheduled on staff development days and parent/teacher conference days. These days must coincide with your child's service days according to when your child normally attends.

Break Plans for Preschool

Break Care Plans are available to any child enrolled in the 2026-2027 TOTS Preschool and All Aboard Pre-k classrooms. There is no break care for Infants and Toddlers. Break care plans (Fall, Winter, and Spring Break) are open to online enrollment through your EZ ChildTrack account up until 14 days prior to the start of each break. Withdraw requests must be emailed to mychild@wws.k12.in.us a minimum of 14 days prior to the start of the break to avoid charges.

Break care will be at Virginia F Wood Early Learning Center. Student Support Programs reserve the right to change the location due to circumstances beyond our control and/or cancel any of the Break Care Plans if enrollment does not support the requirements to open. In this case, parents will be notified as soon as possible.

Online enrollment for each break is open until 14 days prior to the start of each break, and you have the flexibility to select specific days to attend during the breaks for child care. Each break is open for online enrollment until 14 days prior to the start of the break. Families may cancel break enrollment by the same deadline date, 14 days prior to the start of each break.
