Westfield Washington School employees have priority placement for our preschool for 4-year-olds. We also offer this preschool program for community families with 4-year-olds who can provide proof of residency.

Important Dates

  • Open House: January 7, 2026. Our next Open House will feature two half-hour sessions available to tour the Early Learning Center at 5:30 PM and 6:00 PM.  Families can attend either session that evening and do not need to RSVP. 
  • Open Enrollment for New Families for 2026-27 programs: January 8, 2026 at 6:00 AM through February 5, 2026 at 11:59 PM.  
  • Lottery Placement for New Family Enrollment: February 19, 2026.  All parents will be notified on 2026-27 enrollment status by February 26, 2026.

The Early Learning Center offers childcare for infants starting at 12 weeks old through 4 years old.  Our classrooms are based the child's age as of August 1 and the developmental milestones achieved.  The infant classroom is for children 12 weeks old to 1 year old and the toddler classrooms providing childcare for Westfield Washington School employees.  Starting with the preschool classrooms for 3 years old we provide childcare for families living in the Westfield community and Westfield Washington School employees.  Enrollment is limited with priority placement with currently enrolled families first and remaining openings filled by lottery selection.

How to Enroll

open enrollment begins January 8, 2026 at 6:00 AM through February 5, 2026 at 11:59 PM 

New families may submit your child's 2026-27 online enrollment starting January 8, 2026 at 6:00AM and closes on February 5, 2026 at 11:59 PM.  Click here to download the EZ ChildTrack Online Enrollment instructions.  We will fill by currently enrolled families first, then by lottery selection for new family enrollments.  All families will be notified by the end of February with enrollment status for the 2026-27 program.

During the online enrollment, you will be required to pay a non-refundable $175 registration fee when submitting your child's enrollment.  After the lottery placement, those families who were placed in the 2026-27 program will receive additional information they will be required to complete.

Limited Enrollment

  • Priority placement is given to returning families and full time school year plans.
  • Infant and Toddler enrollment is only open to children of WWS employees.
  • All Aboard Pre-K enrollment is open to children of WWS employees and to families who live in the Westfield Washington School District

About the Early Learning Center

The Virginia F. Wood Early Learning Center is a beautiful facility designed especially for our little ones provides childcare and learning experiences starting at 12 weeks old.  We provide a nurturing and loving environment where children are given the opportunity to grow and thrive.  Our goal is to give them the foundational building blocks to learn to communicate with people around them and to take their first steps in navigating in their own world.
