All Aboard

Westfield Washington Schools offers the All Aboard Pre-K program for Westfield families with a child that is 4 years old on or before August 1. This program is designed to have the child prepared to enter kindergarten the following school year and has a proven track record of higher student achievement. This program has limited enrollment and is open to Westfield families and WWS staff. For enrollment information, please contact our office at 317-896-4800 option 3 or mychild@wws.k12.in.us.

January 8-February 5, 2024 -- 2024-25 TOTS and All Aboard open enrollment (all returning and new families must submit enrollment)

August 1, 2024 -- Meet the Teacher Night at the Early Learning Center from 5:30 to 7:00 PM

2024-25 TOTS and All Aboard open enrollment begins January 8, 2024 at 6:00 AM through February 5, 2024 at 11:59 PM

You must complete the steps listed below by February 5, 2024 to submit your child's 2024-25 TOTS enrollment for consideration.

The following must be received by February 5, 2024 by 4:00 PM to the address listed below:
1. A $175 registration check made payable to Westfield Washington Schools
2. A copy of your child's birth certificate
3. Proof of residency by submitting a copy of a utility bill, purchase agreement, or rental agreement

TOTS Program Information

Enrollment for child care is offered as a School Year Plan providing care from August 5, 2024 through May 27, 2025
Families who have children enrolled in the preschool and pre-k classrooms have the option to enroll in break care plans: Fall Break, Winter Break, and Spring Break
TOTS Summer Camp is available for the preschool and pre-k child. The full summer plan has limited enrollment beginning March 1, 2024
TOTS hours of operation are 6:45 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. or 5:30 p.m. (select specific plan with times)
State guidelines for care will be followed and ratios will be honored
Program design will combine preschool activities with a “home like” atmosphere
Staffed by Westfield Washington Schools employees with Early Childhood training and experience
Lunch is purchased through the school cafeteria through the child's lunch account

TOTS Enrollment Eligibility

In order to comply with the Indiana statute for child care guidelines, TOTS will be following these guidelines:

Infant and Toddler (ages 12 weeks to 36 months) child care for WWS employees only
Preschool (3 years old by August 1 and toilet trained) child care for WWS employees and families living in the Westfield school boundaries who have an older child enrolled in the Westfield Washington Schools.

Enrollment in the TOTS program is limited.

Priority placement is given to returning families and full time school year plans.
Infant and Toddler enrollment is only open to children of WWS employees.
Pre-School enrollment is open to children of WWS employees and to families with older children enrolled at WWS.

School Delays and Cancellation Information

School Delays and/or Early Dismissals
TOTS and All Aboard will be open from 7:15 AM to 5:30 PM on two-hour delay days. All Aboard Readiness students may attend from 8:00 AM to 1:30 PM if the two hour delay is on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, or Thursdays.

If a two hour delay changes to a cancellation before 7:00 AM, we will follow TOTS and All Aboard closure procedures listed below.
If a two hour delay changes to a cancellation after 7:00 AM, Preschool and All Aboard will be open from 7:15 AM to 5:30 PM and infants and toddlers will only be open from 7:15 AM to 11:00 AM.

TOTS and All Aboard eLearning Day Closures

When school is closed due to inclement weather or for circumstances beyond the school district’s control, care is available from 7:15 AM to 5:30 PM for full time TOTS preschool and full time All Aboard families only. These children will attend at the Virginia F. Wood Early Learning Center. Care is not available for Infants, Toddlers, and the All Aboard Readiness families.

School Cancellation Days that are NOT eLearning Days

Only TOTS Preschool and All Aboard Pre-k will be open from 7:15 AM to 5:30 PM. These classrooms will attend at the Virginia F. Wood Early Learning Center.

Food Plans For both eLearning School Closure Days and School Closure Days that are NOT eLearning Days

The cafeteria at the Early Learning Center will be open for the children. A prepackaged breakfast, lunch, and an afternoon snack will be provided. These days are included in your regular fees.

Closings

Westfield Washington Schools closings will be announced on local television, radio stations and through phone/text messages from the school district. The decision whether or not we close on a Hamilton County Travel Watch will be made on a case by case basis. All program sites will be closed in the event of a Hamilton County Travel Warning or if conditions are unsafe for families and staff or for circumstances beyond the school district’s control.

As is the case in any child care, we do not provide credit or refunds for days not attended whether this day is by parent choice, due to conditions which make attendance unsafe, or for circumstances beyond the school district’s control.

IMPORTANT

If Hamilton County issues a Travel Warning or if conditions are unsafe for families and staff or for circumstances beyond the school district’s control, parents will be notified that we are closing and children will need to be picked up as soon as safely possible.

Staff Development Days and Parent/Teacher Conference Days

The TOTS classrooms will meet as regularly scheduled on staff development days and parent/teacher conference days. These days must coincide with your child's service days according to when your child normally attends.

Break Plans for Preschool

Preschool Break Care Plans are available to any child enrolled in the 2024-2025 TOTS Preschool and Pre-k classrooms. There is no break care for Infants and Toddlers. Break care plans (Fall, Winter, and Spring Break) are open to online enrollment through your EZ ChildTrack account up until 14 days prior to the start of each break. Withdraw requests must be emailed to mychild@wws.k12.in.us a minimum of 14 days prior to the start of the break to avoid charges.

Break care will be at Virginia F Wood Early Learning Center. Student Support Programs reserve the right to change the location due to circumstances beyond our control and/or cancel any of the Break Care Plans if enrollment does not support the requirements to open. In this case, parents will be notified as soon as possible.

Online enrollment for each break is open until 14 days prior to the start of each break, and you have the flexibility to select specific days to attend during the breaks for child care. Each break is open for online enrollment until 14 days prior to the start of the break. Families may cancel break enrollment by the same deadline date, 14 days prior to the start of each break.
