Westfield Washington Schools offers infant and toddler childcare at the Virginia F Wood Early Learning Center exclusively for district staff. Our beautiful facility designed especially for our little ones provides childcare and learning experiences starting at 12 weeks old. This program has limited enrollment. OPEN HOUSE is Scheduled for January 7, 2025 for 2025-26 TOTS and All Aboard

The Virginia F Wood Early Learning Center located at 19500 Tomlinson Road, Suite A, Westfield will host an Open House on Tuesday, January 7, 2025 at either 5:30 PM or 6:00 PM to tour the Early Learning Center. Westfield families are welcome to take a quick tour of a few of our classrooms and large space areas at the Early Learning Center. Children are welcome to attend, and no rsvp required. This will kick-off the 2025-26 TOTS and All Aboard Open Enrollment starting January 8 at 6 AM through February 5.

The Early Learning Center offers childcare starting at 12 weeks old to 3 years old for Westfield Washington School teachers and staff. Beginning at 3 years old, Westfield families must have an older child enrolled as a student in Westfield Washington Schools to be eligible. The All Aboard Pre-k program is open to any Westfield family who has a child 4 years old by August 1, 2025 and is fully toilet trained. Enrollment is limited with priority placement with currently enrolled families first.

New for the 2025-26 All Aboard program we will offer an All Aboard Readiness option that offers condensed hours and days. This option will depend on receiving enough enrollment to open a classroom. More details will be included in the parent information video below.

2025-26 TOTS Child Information Form

2025-26 TOTS and All Aboard will follow the Westfield Washington School district requirements for proof of residency. Families submitting enrollment for the 2025-26 year must provide copies of three specific items from the list below:

1 of the following:

Indiana driver's license with current address
State ID with current address

AND

1 of the following:

Deed
Building permit
Rental agreement
Mortgage statement
Current lease (including the term, address, name, phone number of lessor, name of lessee, and listing of tenants)
Property tax statement in the parent / guardian's name

AND

1 of the following:

Water bill
Gas bill
Electric bill
Auto insurance bill
Bank statement
Pay stub

WWS employees must provide a copy of their current employee badge.

2025-26 TOTS and All Aboard open enrollment begins January 8, 2025 at 6:00 AM through February 5, 2025 at 11:59 PM

All returning and new families to the Early Learning Center must complete the steps listed below between January 8, 2025 through February 5, 2025 to submit your child's 2025-26 TOTS enrollment for consideration.

The following must be received by February 5, 2025 by 4:00 PM to the address listed below:
1. A $175 registration check made payable to Westfield Washington Schools
2. A copy of your child's birth certificate

TOTS Program Information

Enrollment for child care is offered as a School Year Plan providing care from August 4, 2025 through May 26, 2026
Families who have children enrolled in the preschool and pre-k classrooms have the option to enroll in break care plans: Fall Break, Winter Break, and Spring Break
TOTS Summer Camp is available for the preschool and pre-k child. The full summer plan has limited enrollment beginning March 3, 2025
TOTS hours of operation are 6:45 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. or 5:30 p.m. (select specific plan with times)
State guidelines for care will be followed and ratios will be honored
Program design will combine preschool activities with a “home like” atmosphere
Staffed by Westfield Washington Schools employees with Early Childhood training and experience
Lunch is purchased through the school cafeteria through the child's lunch account
Enrollment is limited

TOTS Enrollment Eligibility

In order to comply with the Indiana statute for child care guidelines, TOTS will be following these guidelines:

Infant and Toddler (ages 12 weeks to 36 months) child care for WWS employees only
Preschool (3 years old by August 1 and toilet trained) child care for WWS employees and families living in the Westfield school boundaries who have an older child enrolled in the Westfield Washington Schools.

Enrollment in the TOTS program is limited.

Priority placement is given to returning families and full time school year plans.
Infant and Toddler enrollment is only open to children of WWS employees.
Pre-School enrollment is open to children of WWS employees and to families with older children enrolled at WWS.

School Delays and Cancellation Information

School Delays and/or Early Dismissals
TOTS and All Aboard will be open from 7:15 AM to 5:30 PM on two-hour delay days. All Aboard Readiness students may attend from 8:00 AM to 1:30 PM if the two hour delay is on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, or Thursdays.

If a two hour delay changes to a cancellation before 7:00 AM, we will follow TOTS and All Aboard closure procedures listed below.
If a two hour delay changes to a cancellation after 7:00 AM, Preschool and All Aboard will be open from 7:15 AM to 5:30 PM and infants and toddlers will only be open from 7:15 AM to 11:00 AM.

TOTS and All Aboard eLearning Day Closures

When school is closed due to inclement weather or for circumstances beyond the school district’s control, care is available from 7:15 AM to 5:30 PM for full time TOTS preschool and full time All Aboard families only. These children will attend at the Virginia F. Wood Early Learning Center. Care is not available for Infants, Toddlers, and the All Aboard Readiness families.

School Cancellation Days that are NOT eLearning Days

Only TOTS Preschool and All Aboard Pre-k will be open from 7:15 AM to 5:30 PM. These classrooms will attend at the Virginia F. Wood Early Learning Center.

Food Plans For both eLearning School Closure Days and School Closure Days that are NOT eLearning Days

The cafeteria at the Early Learning Center will be open for the children. A prepackaged breakfast, lunch, and an afternoon snack will be provided. These days are included in your regular fees.

Closings

Westfield Washington Schools closings will be announced on local television, radio stations and through phone/text messages from the school district. The decision whether or not we close on a Hamilton County Travel Watch will be made on a case by case basis. All program sites will be closed in the event of a Hamilton County Travel Warning or if conditions are unsafe for families and staff or for circumstances beyond the school district’s control.

As is the case in any child care, we do not provide credit or refunds for days not attended whether this day is by parent choice, due to conditions which make attendance unsafe, or for circumstances beyond the school district’s control.

IMPORTANT

If Hamilton County issues a Travel Warning or if conditions are unsafe for families and staff or for circumstances beyond the school district’s control, parents will be notified that we are closing and children will need to be picked up as soon as safely possible.

Staff Development Days and Parent/Teacher Conference Days

The TOTS classrooms will meet as regularly scheduled on staff development days and parent/teacher conference days. These days must coincide with your child's service days according to when your child normally attends.

Break Plans for Preschool

Preschool Break Care Plans are available to any child enrolled in the 2024-2025 TOTS Preschool and Pre-k classrooms. There is no break care for Infants and Toddlers. Break care plans (Fall, Winter, and Spring Break) are open to online enrollment through your EZ ChildTrack account up until 14 days prior to the start of each break. Withdraw requests must be emailed to mychild@wws.k12.in.us a minimum of 14 days prior to the start of the break to avoid charges.

Break care will be at Virginia F Wood Early Learning Center. Student Support Programs reserve the right to change the location due to circumstances beyond our control and/or cancel any of the Break Care Plans if enrollment does not support the requirements to open. In this case, parents will be notified as soon as possible.

Online enrollment for each break is open until 14 days prior to the start of each break, and you have the flexibility to select specific days to attend during the breaks for child care. Each break is open for online enrollment until 14 days prior to the start of the break. Families may cancel break enrollment by the same deadline date, 14 days prior to the start of each break.
